Bearhouse Alpacas

Winter Gallery

Here are The Bearhouse Alpacas in winter. At this time of year when the grass is not at its best, they are fed a diet of hay and/or haylage as well as dry alpaca mix which they need all year round. This is easily obtained from your local farm shop.

Alpacas are hardy animals and cope very well with the British climate, looking as good in winter with their full fleeces as they do in summer. They are shorn once a year in late spring/early summer.
